Australian fashion brand, Beginning Boutique, has launched a sustainable swimwear collection made from recycled fishing nets and plastic bottles.
The collection consists of seven styles introduced under the brand’s swimwear label 9.0 Swim, made from recycled nylon yarn made from discarded non-biodegradable waste.
“Our swimwear is not only sustainable but also long-wearing, without compromising on style and comfort,” said Sarah Timmerman, CEO and founder of Beginning Boutique. “This will be the first of many environmentally-conscious collections and we are excited to pioneer our own efforts and set the example for other Australian brands.”
The collection is exclusively sold on Beginning Boutique’s website, with prices starting from $39.99.
The launch is also a part of its ‘BB Better: For The Planet’ initiative. Beginning Boutique is also working on an extended BB Conscious clothing range for next year and donates one per cent of all sales to its charity partners, Greenfleet and Stars Foundation.
